The Fourth Degree is the visible arm of the Knights of Columbus.
The Principle
of the Fourth Degree is Patriotism.
Perhaps you have seen a Knights of Columbus Honor Guard in your parish, in a parade or at a local sporting event. Those Knights in the tuxedos wearing the colorful capes and swords are Fourth Degree Knights (often mistaken by children of our parishes as "pirates"). What do those colored capes and ostrich plumes mean?

CONGRATULATIONS! The District of Georgia was the ONLY District in the DeSoto Province to make our membership quota. Thank you! As of 07/01/2008 there are 3,324 Fourth Degree members in Georgia, representing 24.7% of statewide Knights of Columbus membership. This is far above the Orderwide average 17%.
